Research by the tabloid press has shown that articles liberally sprinkled with the word "PAEDO" in capitals immediately draw the eye, hence the regular use of such attention grabbing gimmicks.
Not that we would ever do that here on NewsBiscuit - no, no, heaven forfend etc.
However, now that you've realised that there's nothing salacious or prurient in this article you will have skipped to the next item on the page leaving me to type pretty much what I want here. It's been a long morning and I haven't had a shower yet so I think I'll go and have one now. In for a busy weekend due to mothers' day etc.
Just to grab the eye again I'm going to use that word and cause people to skip back and double check the end of the article.
'We like using the word "PAEDO" because we can wrap it in all sorts of weasle get-out clauses like "alleged" and "reportedly" so that no-one can actually sue us' said one reporter.
Expect more "PAEDO" articles soon.
