Spectators in the public gallery at the House of Commons were shocked this week by what has been described as a ‘civilised, grown-up and orderly debate’ on key political issues, with no heckling or child-like behaviour.
‘I went all the way to London to watch some cronyism, hypocrisy and cheap point-scoring, but I was sickened by what I saw.’ said Jenny Green, who has already contacted her local MP to complain about his impeccable conduct during the debate, ‘Ed Miliband asked a question, Cameron answered it and everybody sat quietly, waiting for their turn to have a say. Miliband then said that he appreciated where the PM was coming from, but fundamentally disagreed with some of his reasoning, and went on to calmly explain why. It was disgusting.’
A Tory backbencher has responded to the criticism by saying ‘BOOOOOOOOOOOO!’ and then laughing at a lame joke from David Cameron.
