In a rare move, a Magistrates' Court has overturned a speeding ticket issued to a Neutrino, due to a challenge to the accuracy of a police speed gun. "I was ticking along at exactly the speed of light when suddenly I saw the blue lights of a Panda car struggling to keep up," said the Neutrino. "Bloody hell, don't the police know anything about physics," I said to myself.
In a dramatic courtroom demonstration, the Neutrino pointed the speed gun at a courtroom wall, which registered that it was traveling above the speed of light, leading to the Magistrate's dismissal of the case.
"I decided to challenge the accuracy of the speed gun not because I was traveling at exactly the speed of light limit, but because just before I got pulled over I was overtaken by another Neutrino," said the defendant. "That's always the way it is, isn't it? Someone else was exceeding the limit but I was the one who got pulled over and ticketed."
