The broadcasting standards body, Ofcom, has decided that Jeremy Clarkson was not in breach of broadcasting rules when, in a November edition of "The One Show", he suggested that striking Public Sector workers should be shot.
An insider at Ofcom has claimed that their verdict was heavily influenced by an anonymous communication threatening to have them all shot in front of their families if the outcome was not to Mr. Clarkson's liking. When asked about this outside Television Centre by "Sun" reporter, Solly Scribe, an unrepentant Clarkson said he would have the entire population of Fleet Street shot if certain people weren't careful, and, by the way, could Solly give him a lift home because his 40 Litre Turbo Humvee had run out of fuel.
