Does anybody really care if he was driving the car and lied about it?
Heard the report of the beginning of the court case, and the reporter said "The question is whether a very senior politician LIED to the police" as if that was the worst thing imaginable.
Now, politicians get criticised for being "out of touch with the man in the street". I would have thought that lying to the police is about as in touch with the man in the street as you can get. So why's he being criticised for that?
I really don't understand the world at times.
