Fans of popular TV sitcom "Last of The Summer Wine" were left disappointed at a Day Centre in Worthing, yesterday, when it received a visit by the Deputy Prime Minister.
"We were hoping to see Peter Sallis" said an upset Mr Carshaw, dressed as Compo, "Instead this boring young chap turned up. I wish I'd gone to Tesco instead."
A spokesman for Nick Clegg said the Deputy Prime Minister was suprised at the number of scruffily dressed men in wooly hats and wellingtons and elderly women in pinafores and wrinkly stockings. He mentioned in his speech The "obvious need to target funding to Day Centres in the region."
