The entire Williams team of pit-stop engineers have been banned from using a BP garage in Tiverton following several instances of very very fast anti-social behaviour.
Garage manager Glen Allen made the decision this week, after several complaints from ordinary – and frankly jealous – customers. "We were ok when it was just about the speed at which they pumped up the tyres on the Micra”, he said yesterday, “but nicking the lollipop lady’s sign and holding it in front of the car – that was the last straw.”
John Frampton, a 45-year old driver from Exeter who counts filling up at BP among his more interesting hobbies, said “I saw them once, they were in and out in, what, 12 seconds, tops. It’s incredible, really, when you think of all the doughnuts and extra-large bars of Galaxy you have to refuse before you’re allowed to pay…”
