Ryde IOW has recently experienced the development of a new phenomenon - "Extreme Dogging". For the past few weeks a small coterie of Ryde's female residents have gathered in the local park to indulge in outdoor knitting and enjoyment of the weekly wireless Archers omnibus.
What started out as four or five women, sitting around on deckchairs in their padded anoraks with their thermos of tea, knitting, has over the weeks grow a hundred fold.
"What we have noticed over the past few weeks is the number of epileptic gentlemen, thrashing around in the bushes since we started meeting" said Edna Montague -
