There was carnage yesterday when short sighted pensioner Ethel Greenwood, 78, took a wrong turn with her shopping trolley, knocking down a carefully displayed stack of beans and a 'buy one get one free' air freshener display.
The incident took place around 11.00am yesterday morning at Minworth Asda, where Birmingham born Ethel usually shops after collecting her pension. It is thought that recent product placement changes may have confused Edna who has shopped there for 36 years.
Although no one was hurt in the incident, the tinned food aisle was closed for 35 minutes whilst Asda staff dealt with the aftermath.
