I'm being thick - how do you edit posts you've already submitted?

Oh, right, press the Edit button.
Ok, how do you delete posts after you realise you've made a twat of yourself?

I was going to suggest use the edit button and delete the text, but just discovered that after you log out and log in again, the edit button disappears. Maybe a 'deleted' tag - but that could disconcert the logically-minded - or just a 'twat' tag.

Correction. The edit button doesn't disappear after log out / log in, unless you change your password in between.
Correction again. Just checked again and it's nothing to do with change of password. I think the edit button must disappear after a certain length of time.
I'm rubbish at trying to figure out how the internet works. Ignore me.

What Malgor said about the "edit" button expiration time.

Yep that's right, it was locked to 30 mins, I've just changed it to 360. I'm sure there's a reason why you can't edit them indefinitely, but for that I need to ask the Tech Guy.

OK cool :-)
Which brings me to my next topic - smileys ;-)

smileys? are you still looking for your acid house youth memories?

I'd opt for "grumpeys" - but that's just me.
