The 2012 release "The Girl With The Yellow Fridge" has been nominated for 3 Oscars, possibly starting a new era in films without images, already being called "Le Noire" in Hollywood.
"The Girl With The Yellow Fridge" is a film about a girl with a yellow fridge, said spokesman Jack "The Bloke" Burrows. "We know it is groundbreaking and it has done very well in it's first week, bringing in a total of $230 million dollars." he added.
Leonardo Dicaprio who plays "The Repair Man" said in an interview he was very excited after reading the script and said yes immediately.
"The Girl" is played by an unknown actress, Janet Smith, who was spotted by talent hunters whilst "selling flowers" in Soho.
Janet, who originally comes from Liverpool said, "It's great. Me mum 'ad a yellow fridge, so I could really relate to it. And Leo was just luvely."
Director Mike Manely said "It was a challenge making a film without pictures. But we had a great crew and a nifty piano player. And we are very thilled about the Oscar nominations"
Most of the $200m budget was spent on food, coffee and prostitutes for the camera men and lighting crew who had nothing to do.
The Oscar nomiations are for "Best Film without Images", "Best Director" and "Best Supporting Role" for Mark Johnson who plays a seriel killer mute who grew up living in a fridge.
Rumours of a 3D version have also started circulating.
