Just because you're a successful singer/actor/presenter doesn't mean I want to know who you think I should vote for. Stick to the day job.
Even worse are the politicians who think our votes will be swayed by them.
To compensate me for my annoyance, I propose a trade-off. Every time a celeb does a politician's job by appearing in a party election broadcast a politician has to take their place as whatever they do eg. Peter Mandelson presents 'Mandelson on Gangs', Ken Clarke performs live as lead singer of Take That, and Charles Kennedy stars in 'Harry Potter and the Goblet of, well, anything'.
Who's with me?
