I can't help thinking this was the execution of an experiment or a pub bet to just see if it could be done.
Maybe the winner got thousands.
All the same, I can't help agreeing: Terrific effort. Make you proud etc.

I only hope that they went for the 'full monty' and sprinkled the spoil out of their trouser bottoms at the end of each shift.

Presumably they'll now be fully occupied with the Chilterns tunnels on HS2.

I warm to them even further that the got away with such little money...I think they potentially have a claim against minimum wage exploitation for their efforts.

A thoroughly British heist!
