Scrap merchants between London and Birmingham are expecting to be dealing with a new breed of metal thief in future as the Government confirms plans for HS2.
We contacted a dealer in Kenilworth who explained that taking metal and cables from a sleepy suburban line was a doddle in comparison with thieving from the new line.
"The new trains travel at over 200kph. You're going to have to be pretty nimble to operate in that environment"
