Following lots of jolly good ideas in another thread I thought it may be an idea to start a thread of its own. Please understand though that this is not condoning shoplifting; All the ideas will help Tesco prevent theft. oh yes.
Put nappies all around the trolley creating a nest, add TV set to middle and run like a bastard through the exit.

Cut out the barcodes from the labels of premium brands and, sneakily, stick them onto the cheap tesco value equivalents before you check out.
Then you'll be fooling their system and their clubcard database that you eat high quality stuff while actually buying the cheap shit.
Walk in with a gun. Point the end that the bullet comes out of at various members of staff and demand that they give you the cash from the tills. Or at least a couple of packs of polos.
It will probably help if you disguise yourself by growing a beard and wearing your clothes inside out before you do this, so does require some forward planning.

at the self checkout, place one foot on the 'in' basket of your purchases and one very lightly on the 'out' basket. progressively transfer your weight from 'in' foot to 'out' foot while removing your purchases from the 'in' basket straight into the bag at your feet. this does require fine muscle control.

This works with larger stores (not all have the service though)...
...collect up a bunch of CDs and any product which is thin enough. Put in a sealed envelope and address that to the person who last lived at your address. Post that in the in-store post box. That way you leave without taking anything with you.
The postie will either leave through a non-security scanned exit, or if any alarm does go off then no one will be bothered to open all mail and check stuff anyway (plus, I'm not sure they are allowed to open that mail anyway).

Become Chief Executive, announce that there will be a reduced dividend as poor Marketing has led the Board to invest most of this year's profits into the core business, watch share prices immediately drop by 30% and then clean up as you declare tomorrow that it's not as bad as first thought. Seemed to work yesterday.
