Following the departure of manager Neil Warnock from Premiership Club Queens Park Rangers, the League Managers’ Association (LMA) are seeking a new Director of Referee-Slagging. The successful candidate will be expected to develop the programmes that Mr Warnock established on accusations of referee bias and allegations of incompetence.
Colin, as he is known by opposition fans and referees alike due to an unfortunate anagram of his name, will be a hard act to follow, according to LMA Chief Executive Richard Bevan. “Neil has an enviable record, having successfully berated referees on radio and TV at every level of the game, irrespective of whether his grievances were justified or not,” he said.
