If the Tories win on Thursday then David Cameron will get his own page in Private Eye.
Was wondering how they'd portray him, I was thinking maybe a teacher trying to turn around a failing school, or perhaps have him emailing someone each issue, but I can't think who.
Anyone with more imagination care to have a guess?
Oh, and, Older Biscuits, what was done for the Thatcher and Major years? I've only been reading since the Tony Blair letter in the church magazine days.

Thatcher was the Dear Bill letters - I think written from 'Him indoors' rather than Maggie. Major was the secret diary of John Major age 57 3/4 or something.
Dave Cameron will surely be a blog - although some tie in with working for a PR company selling big ideas for Britain might work... something new media anyways

I'm thinking: the Monday morning 'all-staff email' from the new, keen-to-impress Head teacher of Albion Lane Primary School. He spends all his time rubbishing the previous head and telling people that 'we're going to do things differently now', but actually hasn't got a clue how to do anything.

Looking at pix of him jogging yesterday it struck me he looked like Arnold Rimmer from Red Dwarf. The shiny forhead and the slightly manic grin. Add in the slightly arrogant self belief, the mindless enthusiasm and perkyness (you just know he's a depressed wreck behind closed doors).

Mr Gove, our new Deputy Head is going to be looking after the Curriculum, and Mr Osborne, the Head of Economics has kindly agreed to be Head of Sixth Form. He tells me he's also happy to help with costumes for the school production next term, and to do the photography for the Fashion Show, including a back-stage "verite" reportage - well done.
Mrs May will continue her sterling work as our Careers Advice Lady, and Mr Clarke's Business Studies classes will continue to be held in the Portacabin area once they have been re-fitted with smoke alarms.

Hmmm, OK, the cabinet could then all be a collection of concerned local parents who got together to create a start up school after the old state-comp allowed the teahcing of homosexuality. Which, of course is not an issue in itself, hey, everyone can do that sort of thing if they like and get the married couples benefits too, but someone should think of the children.
Maybe they could take over St Cakes?

Harking back to maggie, her foe was Dan Dire (pilot of the future) trying to vanquish the Maggon, who's chief henchman and side kick was Blubba-the-Gut, in a one line cartoon, as well as the Dear Bill letters.
While I'm on, Private eye letters also pointed out Judge Dredd, 2000AD.
The Kleggies were a race who keep an evil reptillian tyrant race in power, or something.
