No offence, like, Scroaty, but they ain't exactly 'pithy' comments...

I would fold my ballot paper into an origami model of the Queen, thus shaming the politicians into adopting the rule by Monarchy that we all want.

Or dirty protest.

I suggest that this is no time for pith. It needs a rant on at least one side of A4.

There might just be room to write a haiku on the ballot paper...

Round these parts (massively safe Tory seat) I believe voting for the Labour is considered spoiling you ballot paper. There are so few labour voters they haven't even bothered to print any leaflets. We've had precisely 4 through the letterbox in a month (Con 2, Lib 1, UKIP 1).

I live in a hotly contested seat (Michael Portillo - Stephen Twigg - David Burrows) and I have had the sum total of 1 leaflet from a Labour candidate. I suspect the Tory's know they will hold it and no-one else has it as a seat they will get anywhere near winning. No door stepping, no nothing. No People outside the tube or posters anywhere. No front garden picket signs. Is this the anti-1997 election?

@thisisall1word- why are you also a picture of a cake from Fitzbillies? I spent 3 years walking past that shop.

3 years? Jesus, how slow are you?

It's the nail marks in my hands and feet that slow me down.

I suppose having to drag that heavy wooden thing on your back all the time would slow you down.

That too. Once a year, though, I feel completely reborn.

@fernandomando
Oh - and I've never been to Cambridge - of the two classics I went to Middlesex Uni instead. Not to be snobbish but they let anyone into Cambridge these days.
It was the best picture of lardy-cake I could find given 3 seconds image browsing. I like lardy-cake.

I haven't had lardy-cake for years! Used to be a favourite treat of mine.

Photo updated for maximum lard action. Is Lardy Cake sold outside of the Salisbury area and one shop in Cambridge?

Used to be readily available on the South coast, but then so did Meow meow.

I was on the island last weekend - you can still get Lardy Cake and Meow Meow (though not from the same dealers). Can't help think this is off message (of thread) somewhat. Anyone else still up to watch the snooker?

spoil it by putting an X in the box next to the Conservative candidate

I think I'd create a new box, write in 'Tarquin Fim Bim Lim Bim Wim Bim Bus Stop F'tang-F'tang Olé Biscuit Barrel' and put a cross next to that.
