Engelbert Humperdinck should be worth a punt - 84 and tested positive for Covid. I thought he'd been dead for years until I read about his Covid diagnosis.

RIP Chick Corea. I was in the Blue Note in New York a decade or so ago, when a modest new band made a start - they revealed that their drummer had fallen ill that afternoon, so a last minute replacement had volunteered - it was Chick Corea. What a wonderful night that was.

That Philip bet might be about to pay off.

Hope so - we could do with a good cheerful national celebratory piss-up.

He's determined to hang on to get his telegram from the queen.

I think HM just got fed up with him hanging around the
placepalace, especially since he's not allowed to drive, so she made "arrangements" for the Greek Racist to be elsewherePosted 1 week ago # -
Perhaps they'll bump him off during lockdown so that there won't be spontaneous street parties. Or so they can arrest anyone who attends one.

You need to make a ticker out of that.

Hello everyone,
I'd just like to remind you that since I took Phil the Greek, aka Chooky Embra, as my number one choice, 9 years ago, that if the old boy croaks, I get 9 years of interest as well as the original bet.
As you were.

Would be interesting to list the nine years of carnage that have arisen since you called Philip as the 'Dead Cert'.
To put you tipster-skills into perspective, if you'd given us a racing tip that involved a horse who's parents hadn't yet been born themselves, you'd still have had a better chance.

Tiger Woods damn near beat Phil to the finish line today.

ID, this is why I don't bet.
Having said that, I will, eventually, be right.

1,395 posts on a thread started 9 years ago and still going strong, unlike most of the subjects of the discussion. Unlucky on your punt Jeni, but an epic legacy.
Have you had a sub ready to go since all the way back then?
Had this one for a bit:
Financially independent tiara-wearing horse lover. Seeks similar. For long walks and anal.

So could the Trooping of the Colour be livened up by a massed-chorus of "Does She Take It Up The Arse" ?
Hat, coat, taxi to the Tower of London ...

Ronald Pickup - superb actor. Saw him in "Waiting for Godot" as "Lucky" at the Haymarket Theatre, with Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen.

Jenny did indeed start this thread called "What's the latest on the dead pool".
This references the original dead pool thread started previously by, ahem, me!
Good luck finding that one.Posted 5 days ago # -
Oh come on Al
We all know it was in pantomime at The Theatre Royal Winchester
He was playing Buttons alongside Christopher Biggins as one of the ugly sisters
It's OK
There's no shame in that.Posted 5 days ago # -
Credit where credit is due, beau-jolly. Obviously had no idea without your input here just now, so most certainly a hat-tip to you, possibly Panama?
