    ...and how about:

    Gary Glitter (tops himself)
    Gary Numan (plane crash)
Gary Barlow (explodes with an excess of smugness)

Breaks my heart to go for the mighty Wilko but, hey, a win is a win.

First I heard about Wilko; saw them twice at Uni, great performers

I saw Wilko last July - he headlined an open air bash in a muddy Somerset field and was ace.

Hugo Chavez was described this morning as "joking and laughing" by a Venezuelan minister - which means he's dying in my book...

Can't help think that "Michael Winner" would be an appropriate "Mornington Crescent" punchline for this entire thread.

I guess AR is right - the equivalent of the PM always saying he has "every confidence" in a minister, just before he is sacked.

    Is Greavesy still alive?

I thought he'd died years ago.

I notice that the 90 year old Nicolas "Slippy" Parsons has entered this year's official death list. Nothing to do with Wonga I am sure.

Ooh, and I'll add in Ian St. John as the 3rd party for a triple. I sort of assumed he'd already gone but Wiki assures me he's extant

I'll have a fiver on Stuart Hall. He's said he has considered topping himself, he's 83 and facing a court case for kiddy fiddling.

Chris Huhne as an outsider, before sentencing, or in prison. He hasn't got much going for him atm, and the prospect of Big Frank from D Wing needing a new bitch might tip the scales.

Other than self-inflicted, George Cole, who's nearly 88 and dropped off the entertainment radar in 2007.

And George Bush (snr). Although he has the best medical attention government money can buy, he was reliant on a walking stick 3 years ago when he met Obama.

As a final general prediction, one of the Rolling Stones and either Simon or Garfunkel.

Post-Saville, I get a shiver when I read glowing obituaries - as with Richard Briars - half expecting some appalling revelations to appear any minute. Savile left such a toxic legacy...

Never had him down as a Subaru man. Who knew?

As for Mr. O’Farage, his political career won’t die, but it might be still-born.
