'Mail': "Hugo Chavez 'only kept alive by life support' after cancer surgery"
Isn't that what 'life support' is supposed to do?

I would go for the double with Fidel but he is proving as indestructible as Ronnie Biggs.

There is every likelyhood that Fidel has been dead for a while. I was in Havana about 10 years ago and a local girl told me he has lots of different houses and quite a few dopplegangers so no-one knows where he is at any one time. He is feared rather than reveered. He was very ill in hospital a few years ago but apparently recovered. Although Roual Castro is ready to step up to the mark, locally he is considered a bit of a cock.
Can I have a fiver on Hugh Heffner?
A 26 year old bride must surely finish the old goat off. 26! FFS I have got pants older than that!Posted 5 months ago # -
@ riesler: Ronnie Biggs? I was sure he must be dead but google say no. Three years & counting post-release on compassionate grounds.
When he does eventually go we could get Barbara Windsor back on the news telling us what a great chap he really was. Or was that the Krays?

When it comes to small mammals, Sellotape seems to do the trick adequately.

Right, we're into the quiet post-Christmas spell, so what are your dead pool predictions for the year ahead?
I'm putting money on Aretha Franklin slipping quietly away without fuss, and Robert Redford and/or Clint Eastwood as the 'thought he'd go on forever' bet.

Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner. One way or another.

Can I have a fiver on a politician dying of food poisoning after eating a pasty ?

Post-Savile, it's kinda depressing to see elderly men in the entertainment industry being arrested one by one. In this 'no smoke with out fire' era, I wonder if they're ever going to get a fair trial. The 'jury' seems to make up its mind, these days, on the day of arrest. If a man is guilty as charged, he may be suicidal. If he's innocent - but with reputation trashed - he may also be suicidal. I'm only surprised that we haven't seen a Savile-related suicide.

There probably has been a Savile related suicide or two amongst his hundreds of victims.

And to get away from sex altogether, I bagsy Doris Day.

Thatcher, Kinnock and Ashdown in a Political tricast.
Nick Clegg for prolonged career suicide.
Richard Attenborough, he looked a bit peeky about 10 years ago when I saw him Barnes.

Necropedia???
Do they have a satire section I wonder...

If we're going for a triple accumulator, why not make it really exciting and plump for similar names, e.g.:
Chuck Berry (dead cert)
Mary Berry (less likely but could choke on one of her own cakes)
Halle Berry (rank outsider, but you never know. Freak accident maybe - has heart attack on receiving surprise Oscar for Lifetime Achievement?)Posted 5 months ago #
