Thanks for the link smithy; made rather chilling reading. Fair play to him. Does start to make you wonder just where all this ends and who is involved.

Crikey!! I'll send his family a condolence card.

What a brave man, surely he's not really a politician, he appears to have morals.

Good grief - not a spoof is it - courageous man, good for my humility. Watch this space.

Scroat is this month's winner with Clive Dunn.

We still haven't found out who had the trophy from last time, so please could everyone check your mantlepieces, china-cabinets and garden sheds?

This from the Deathlist 2012: "Dunn was a hotly tipped selection on the inaugural DeathList of 1987. Over the next 26 years, Dunn became a DeathList legend and went on to make a record-breaking 16 appearances, eventually making the number 50 shirt his own."

Perhaps the secret is to pretend you are really old a few decades before you really are really old?

Bill Tarmy! Bugger me the Deathlist is having a last minute surge. I think this may be their best year yet. He was 28/50

There's already some smart money on a Liz Dawn double.

Id, are you ever tempted to carry a full syringe of Euthatol around with you, just in case you bump into someone who could win you the Dead Pool?

Very, very tempted Jeni, but not for the Deadpool I'm afraid. I find the vast majority of euthanasias extremely rewarding; sombre of course, but being able to bring blessed release to the suferring is really rather a privilege.

Combine that experience with an immensely arrogant self-belief that I know what is best in all circumstances (did I mention I'm a surgeon?!!)and you could load me up and set me loose, and I would very rapidly clean up the streets with extreme prejudice and great pleasure.

There may be a little bit of paperwork and a few petty regulations to iron out first, but if you do your lawyery bit on that, I'm certainly game for wiping out all those I deem unworthy of life.

Couldn't agree more Id. I often think that a subtle, but swift, lethal injection could solve so many problems. All in the name of social cleansing...

Will work on that defence now, just in case.

I'd advise you steer clear of 'Only obeying orders' Jeni - it was largely discredited in the late 1940s

I'd bank on Stuart Hall too .... or DLT, Gary Glitter (why do the papers insist on saying "real name Paul Gadd") or Freddie Starr (he must have a real name but the papers dont use it)

So can I have an any-way forecast treble?

ZZ Gabor (95) currently ranked 12th on the Deathlist 2012
    Ali (70) ranked 44th

Kirk Douglas (ranked 10th) is a good bet aged 96

For a political 3 way race: Dennis Healey, Nelson Mandella and Helmut Schmidt all aged 94. Interesting to see who goes first.

They correctly predicted Oscar Niemeyer who popped his clogs the other day aged 105. Fairly safe bet at that age.
