Tommy Cooper: comedy genius!
Everyone says it. So I'm pretty sure that's how I remember him too. He could make people laugh without even saying anything.

So unlike today's smarmy, sweary, know-it-all wannabe panel-show pundits.

Imagine my excitement when my wife produced a 'best of Tommy Cooper' DVD!

So last night, I stuck it on.

But what happened next?

There is a statue of Tommy Cooper, in Caerphilly, even though the family moved when he was 3 months old.

That's twice I've done that. Both times a genuine mistake, honest.

Would it be easier if you changed your name to Plunky?

And tell the Cooper family that thier man Tommy didn't really deliver on his promise.

I was a bit let down by that DVD, I must admit.

I don't think humour 'keeps', Mr Seal. Its probably of its time.

I can't be bothered with going through all the paperwork to change my name to Plunky. Anyway, Plunky is a silly name.

The Krankies are brilliant!

I would say Janet Tough is a tour de force as Jimmy. If I knew what tour de force means.

If you don't like the Krankies, perhaps you are one of these men I keep reading about, who get together (as men do, in a secret conspriacy) and don't allow women to be funny.

And given that janet is scottish, I could probably accuse you of being racist too.

Given those two -isms, against your character, I now have license to assume you like fox hunting, are in favour of closing down hospitals, and want to see young children run over by Jeremy Clarkson as he speeds away from flood waters caused by climate change which could have been avoided if we'd been allowed to install more CCTV cameras in your bedroom.

Your type really gets my goat!
