Now I may be a hick from the sticks, and I may despise public transport (which is OK, because there isn't any around here), but I like the look of that new Boris Bus.
I know from my work for a bus company (true!) that the bendy buses were awesomely capable people-movers on major routes into London. They didn't actually take many fares, but that didn't matter: the bus companies didn't make money from fares, TfL paid them just to run on time.
But the bendy buses were ugly as sin. Not a hint of aesthetic flare anywhere in them. That new bus looks very smart, it almost enhances the surroundings.
So politics and practicality aside, does anyone else like it? Does anyone else despair at the awful ugliness of most public transport? Bring back the velvet-lined sedan chair, I say.

A bus, yesterday.
