If it came to that do you think the French would still want to share aircraft carriers with us?
Could get a little awkward if we're on opposite sides.
That would make things interesting! Maybe they could have them on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sunday mornings, and we could have them the other days of the week.
Or, as they drive on the other side over there, maybe they could use half the runway going one direction and we could use the other half going the other way.
Hardly going to need aircraft carriers in a war against Europe. Perhaps that's what the Government Defence Review had in mind.
Probably one of Adam Werritty's policies.

Pulling on the Jingoism trousers, surely its about time we popped over the channel and gave them a slap again? We've been reasonably regular with Blenheim, Trafalgar, Peninsular, Waterloo, Crimea and a brace of World Wars, we kept our hand in with a go at soem pretend Spaniards in '82 and we've had a few easy warm-up bouts against the sons of arabia, should be in peak condition to have a pop against a couple of the big boys again...perhaps we could send a diplomatic message to France:
'thats it, we've warned you enough times, now front up...you can bring your mates, one at a time or all at once, makes no difference to us'
