I was going to try and have a proper read of it and try to give some feedback, but it's gone now.
I liked the line about the milkman. Can't remember much else because I'd just skimmed it. It felt like it could have been a bit tighter.

Hey thanks VCG - any constructive feedback would be great.

PS: I didn't mention anything about a milkman ;-)

In the interest of balance, I should point out that when my wife gave birth I didn't feel a thing. But she whinged like a goat.

Are you sure that was your wife?

Yes you did:
"My Dad had no legs and only half an arm, but he made it to work as a milkman every day."

hahaha!!! Oh blimey - I thought I had! Skimmed over it too but couldn't see it.
What with it being a about the milkman as well....

a few years ago mr bsl was sent home from work diagnosed with 'manflu' by a female colleague.
he actually had advanced peritonitis-i called the paramedics about an hour later and they said he only actually had a ouple of hours left to live
all ok now-but it was dodgy for a while...
be wary of manflu diagnoses.
Mary-why not try a shorter piece first? it may help you get NB style more concisely.Posted 1 year ago # -
That's an idea. Thanks for your comments.

The other thing I would say, and I'm trying to put this politely, is try to be original. We could all write some stuff about men being whinging gits at the slightest sniffle so you need a new angle on it. I don't know, something about the latest treatment for 'manflu' being based on a Medieval remedy for the bubonic plague or something? That is very much off the top of my head and is probably not a good basis for a sub but hopefully you see what I'm driving at.

We here at the Manflu Support Group take a very dim view of this sort of thing - when you have talked to as many pathetic snot filled whinging slackers as we have, then you would know that it is a truly serious condition with far reaching ramifications for those exposed to their suffering
Liked the sub during its brief swan-song, although thought it needed a little tightening up - just keep at it

I wasn't quite sure if the reference to the Russian Revolution made much sense.

I thought the flamenco separatists were superfluous. Great stuff, otherwise.

And the LHC of course.

She didn’t mention puffins, homoeopathy, Clarkson, Cameron or the EU. Hopeless, really. NAFC.
