Nice! I'm obsessed with this rag, I go with the theory that deVinci made it with a pinhole camera, as a heretical joke. It would explain why Christ was buried with one hand raised, giving the bird so that we may all be offended.

Heehee! And what did your Sunday School teacher make of that theory?

'bloody' is part of the joke isn't it? I was expelled from Sunday school as it goes. Turin shroud fact: the image is a negative, and the front image is about 11 inches taller than the back...

Cool!
Tourettes Shroud opinion: a stronger swear word makes the 'Tourettes' side of the joke funnier, whereas 'bloody' weakens it by highlighting the physicality of the Turin shroud, thereby adding a layer of complexity which needs to be resolved before the joke can be 'got'.

Ah and I missed the 'bloody' shroud reference altogether. Was the shroudee a hunchback then wayland?

Quasimodo is Jesus ?

Perhaps the shroud was based on the Tardis, which of course Jesus would know about, what with his dad being omniscient and everything.
