United Biscuits UK have demanded an apology from John O'Farrell following a comment he made on BBC Radio Scotland suggesting articles on his e-zine were "as consequential as a biscuit". O'Farrell was unavailable for comment having been kidnapped. The kidnapping was witnessed by BBC security and was said to be carried out by "some bird dressed as Cat Woman with a distinctly Scottish accent". Police suspect the kidnapper had taken the wrong person as O'Farrell left the building at the same time as Nick Griffin. A regular Newsbiscuit contributor said "serves him right, some of the articles are worth at least a doughnut and there is the occasional battenburg in the mix."
