Congratulations to Vertically Challenged Giant who wins his second successive Writer of the Month award after his stories scooped the top three spots in November’s most-read list. VCG secured the title with ‘Sacha Baron Cohen announces current series of ‘Berlusconi’ will be the last’ which was the most popular story published this month, though his Waitrose story from October remained NewsBiscuit’s most read piece in November. Another of his stories, ‘iPhone 4S recall notice issued after Siri app develops attitude problem’, came in third showing that his marketing department really earned its fee this month. VCG’s prize for such dedicated service is a gold-plated public sector pension (provided that he is prepared to contribute more stories per month until the age of 67) and which will be presented to him outside, in front of his family by Jeremy Clarkson.
Well done also to SingingHinny and to Quaz whose stories, ‘Griffin admits BNP ‘divided over Rihanna’’ and ‘Darth Vader joins Fathers for Justice’ respectively, made up the rest of the top five. They both win a day off work redeemable any time before 31 December.
Many thanks to all who have contributed stories and one-liners to NewsBiscuit this month. The race is now on to see who will scoop the coveted Christmas No.1 slot and get to play Baby Jesus in the NewsBiscuit office nativity.
