The BBC's
Worm(the three coloured lines used to measure audience reaction to the leaders' debate) has today admitted that it is in fact a Lib Dem aide in disguise.
Suspicions were aroused whenever the Worm showed approval whenever Nick Cleeg spoke vaguelly of the need for change, and showed disapproval when one of the other leaders talked about exactly how they would bring about that change.
We didn't suspect a thing,said a BBC spokeswoman
the Worm showed up promptly at 7:30 and took up it's position on screen. None of us thought it necessary to ask for ID.
A replacement Worm has been found for tonight. Nick Clegg gave his reaction just minutes ago:
I didn't know anything about this. Up until this point I was happy with the British public associating me with a streak of yellow.
David Cameron was heard to be muttering to his aides
I knew we couldn't trust coloured thingsbefore being told about the incident.
