There must be some mileage in this, despite my piss-poor effort. There's a number of shows where the title sequence shows the presenter travelling to the studio, and arriving as the show starts. So I thought: how far back in the day should you go? Waking up? Taking a dump? cleaning up the sick from the heavy night before? Knocking one out in the shower? Moaning like hell about having to drag your arse into work again, and how the boss is a complete c**t? Driving to work while still pissed? Doing a runner at the petrol station without paying? Snorting coke before the start of the show?

Bruce Forsyth turning up at the wrong studio and having to be gently escorted to where he should be?

I was thinking of Marr actually ending up in the village, with a load of politicians similarly trapped - and he spends his days endlessly interviewing them about the state of the Village's economy, civil disorder and "immigration only" policy. Paxman could be "Number 2" and escapees pursued and trapped under obese border guards. Hmm.. what do you think?

It's a neat idea, but a bit too 'big', even for an FP. Would work as a great sketch, I think. Worth a try, but it sounds hard to write.

The intro did remind me of The Prisoner. Will The Village streets be roamed by the London CCTV cars? Boris can ride around on one of his bikes waving cheerfully. I always did think Marr was an unmutual. Are all the obese guards called Rover? "I am not a number, I am a free Marr!"
