If you do Everest before breakfast if gives you just enough time to do K2 and the other one before they close the cafe at Horton in Ribblesdale.

Good point greg. and time of year is important. Popular choice is midsummer-time for length of daylight but then you can get held up by all the %$!* charity walkers.

Dizzy heights of five stars!

This is worth expanding, at least as long as a NiB. Mind you, the Himalayas might be taller, but the traffic in the Lake District is murder, and have you seen the prices of the sandwiches at the foot of Snowdon?

And the coffee is only luke-warm. Not as if they've got the excuse of water boiling at lower temperature at altitude. And it's in Wales

Thanks Smithy. Agree it could probably be expanded but that really isn't my forté. Feel free to have a go though. Did think it could be possible to include the Andean three peaks challenge too before attempting the dizzy challenge of Everest, K2, and Anapurna (and that bloody overpriced café at the summit of Everest).

What's more important, as far as I'm concerned, is whatever happened to K1?

The twat who drove his 4x4 all the way up Snowdon really should be disqualified for cheating

I disagree Bongo, He should have been charged for acting like a Clarkson.
(I feel I have to admit, bongo, to only commenting on your comment, bongo, because I quite enjoy calling you that name. What is it again? Bongo, that's it.)

I've done the Benelux "Three Peaks" - Visiting the highest points of Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg.
The Belgian "peak" is the highest - Signal de Botrange is 694m above sea-level. Enterprising Belgians in the 1920s with time on their hands between hosting world wars added a 6m staircase/plinth to round it up to 700m.

There’s a K2 balti house in Hemel Hemstead. I’ve been more than three times, but not in one day
