A Crown Court judge yesterday ruled that expletives directed at a police officer could not be considered offensive ‘because the rozzers are all fucking scum’.
‘I do not believe that it is a crime for a member of the public to point out to a police officer that he is the worst sort of vagina,’ said Mr Justice Bean. ‘Someone cannot be considered to have suffered harassment, alarm or distress as a result of being truthfully informed of the type of person they are. And by type of person, I of course mean ‘cunt’.’
The judge was later described by a spokesman for the Police Federation as a ‘bespectacled, cross-dressing tit’, a comment for which the spokesman was found guilty of causing amusement, mirth and delight.
