In line with their insistence that they became World Champions in 1967 by beating the then holders England, Scottish Football fans were united in hailing England as both World and European winners following their victory over reigning holders Spain at Wembley last night.
“It’s only fair” said leading Scottish supporter Davey Murray “Everyone knows you get a World Cup by winning a meaningless one-off match rather than a gruelling tournament. That how we did it in ‘67.
He added “But these England boys still have a long way to go in emulating our historic achievements. I’ll only take them seriously once they’ve descended en masse on the Bernabeu Stadium dressed like the Bay City Rollers and smashed the fucking place up- just like we did to Wembley in the 70s"
"They should then embark on an intimidating booze-fuelled rampage of Madrid if they really want to match our level of greatness”
“That’s how true sporting champions do it ”.
