So basically coins up to the value of 10p are worth more as scrap metal. With copper at $6000 per tonne and rising I think I'll sell mine to a pikey instead.

Isn't this on a par with cable theft but with government approval?

I notice its only council car park owners who want compensation. What about Johnnie machines, or all the other vending machines for that matter? Fag machines have been outlawed so they are already fucked.
