Match fixing in cricket...what about pundit fixing in footie?
Just check out how many times Andy Townsend uses that annoying ‘little bit’ catch phrase of his during the next match....there are people in Asia betting billions on the number of times our Andy can shoehorn ‘little bit’ into his moronic expert analysis.
I smell an odious rat
See how far you can get into the next tedious edition of MOTD before Lee’ all day long’ Dixon and Alan ‘end of the day’ Shearer enlighten us with their respective catch phrases.
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
OK...footie-haters....you can look again now.

The smart money is on Sky Sports News reporters and the number of times they use that verb tense I believe linguists call the 'Deeply Imperfect'. "Brown's won the ball, he's looked up and he's crossed it in and Jones has headed it and it’s gone wide" for example.

I think David Pleat's getting kickbacks when he co-comentates:
"Paul scholes walks away 'gingerly'"
"Park Ji Sung is a 'chink' in the United wall"

Ah, reminiscent of the abolition of the past tense from all history documentaries: “It’s September 5th, 1942. Hitler’s armies are advancing on Stalingrad. In Moscow, Stalin is settling down to a nice cup of tea and a sticky bun, while perusing the lists of people he had executed yesterday”. Aarrggh!
