David Morse (35) today enters the 27th year of searching for the elusive farm Buttons, his 12 year old chocolate lab was sent to by his parents in 1984.
"I have searched all the farms locally, but I still haven't found any evidence that Buttons lived there, all I can think is that my parents sent him to a farm that was a bit further a field. It's a long shot that I'll find him one day"
Mr Morse recollects the day that Buttons was sent to the farm, "I remember coming home from school and Buttons had gone, My Mum and Dad told me he'd gone to a farm, as Bonfire night was coming up and the he'd have a field to run around in and lots of balls to chase. My Dad had just been promoted at work and we were moving to a new house. All that was left to remind me of Buttons in those final few weeks, in that old house was the piss stain on the living room carpet and the faint smell of dog poo in the utility room".
"I'm just hoping that one day I can find the farm, as I now have a six year old Golden Retriever and in her olden years I'd like to think I'd send her to this wonderful farm that my Mum and Dad told me about, that Buttons went to".
