With no dashboard to worry about, the new Smiley is the easiest car to drive ever, claim Honda's auto engineers. Driver information is provided by a single circular LED display on the steering wheel, showing either a smiling happy face or a sad one. Driving too fast? It's sad. Just under the speed limit? It turns to a happy smile. Running low on petrol? Sad. Full tank? Happy, (we think, but didn't have the resources to try this test.
It's claimed these advances will leave the driver free to concentrate on more important but trickier tasks - like texting and using Google maps on their iPhone.
