Doctors surgeries are being overwhelmed with people suffering from nausea, shock and trauma after it was discovered that the original models for the 1970s bestseller The Joy of Sex were a young John McCririck and Margaret Thatcher.

Funnily enough, given the book's roaraway sales success they don't seem to appear on my local charity shops' bookshelves. I think that osteopaths used to leave complementary copies out to encourage trade, rather in the way of heavily salted snacks on the pub bar
