Not a bad joke but there were only 3 Ridings: North, West and East. I believe, in the olden days, Yorkshire folk couldn't comprehend there being such a thing as South.

Yes, I was wrong...historically there were three. However, being born and bred in Derbyshire it always seemed like there were more.
