A convoy carrying the body of Colonel Gadaffi from Sirte to Tripoli has been held up just outside Mistra after it was discovered the tax disc on the vehicle transporting the body was not being displayed properly.
A traffic warden from the the National Transitional Council spotted the illegally displayed disc when the convey stopped at lights to let cattle cross the road and duly pulled the guilty driver over to the kerbside and issued a fixed penalty notice of 50 dinar.
The driver pointed out to the traffic warden that the car was legally taxed and the disc had simply slipped down onto the dashboard. The warden agreed the vehicle was indeed currently taxed and could be seen on the dashboard but it did not alter the fact it was not being displayed properly. The driver responded by waving his arms excitedly and firing his machine gun into the air and then accused the warden of being ‘the son of an infidel donkey’ and wished his family would ‘go bald with the ringworm’
The warden then issued the driver with another fixed penalty notice for allowing fresh blood to drip from the boot of his car onto the road in what was clearly marked a NO MARTYDOM area.
The driver pointed out that any vehicle licensed to a disabled person was exempt from road tax and as the vehicle still technically belonged to Colonel Gadaffi it did not actually need to be taxed. The driver even opened up the boot of his car to prove just how disabled Colonel Gadaffi had become that morning, but to no avail.
Surviving members of the Gadaffi household are said to be furious with the traffic warden and have promised to send a plague of ‘pustules and boils to enter the head of his chickens’.
The driver has 30 days to pay the fixed penalty fine or the fine will double to 100 dinars and the driver will stoned to death by female members of the traffic wardens family...
...and the next one please.
