Excellent. Squeeze it all into the title and you've got a ticker

ASDA introduce "Ten Years Left or Fewer" aisle to reduce queues for non-pensioners...
I can't seem to wedge in a bit about them shopping at peak times unneccesarily and be succinct.
I once had an old guy let me go in front of him in the queue because he was 'Just messing about', so he said. He was buying sugar and ham. Those old funsters.

ASDA's "Ten Years Left or Fewer" aisles reduce non-pensoners unecessary peak time queueing ???

I’m always struck by the way the coffin-dodgers always head for the express queues; I’m not entirely convinced that it’s due to intimations of mortality, they just enjoy being arseholes and making life more difficult for everyone else.

I have visions of retired people going to coffee mornings to dicuss tactics for the following lunchtime. Their aim is to cause the maximum amount of delay for those of us who have limited time for our lunch break. They divide up into teams - one team for each of the banks, one for the post office, one for the takeaway sandwich queue in Marks Expensive and so on. After all their efforts, they reconvene for afternoon tea to discuss results and how to cause more disruption the following day. There is no other explanation.

surely it would have to be "about 10 years or less"?
I was under the impression many of them were actually the living dead or lost souls shuffling about in purgatory or is that just at my local Morrisons?Posted 1 year ago # -
I think you are on to somthing MD. Perhaps as they near the end of their life, they wish to rob you of as much of your life as possible.

I think you could work Midfield Diamond's suggestion of some kind of pensioner conspiracy up into a full sub, complete with gaijintendo's "10 years left or fewer" aisle plan from Asda as a punchline.

Point of pedantry: I believe it is only Waitrose that uses the correct form of "10 or fewer" whereas Tesco uses the common but completely wrong "10 items or less". Haven't been into an Asda for a while but suspect they have something like, "10 items init?"

BJ - Asda just has a sign with a picture of a basket on it, negating the need to be able to count or read.

A case of 'less being more' then; it would help squeeze in a comprehensive ticker if going that route

I attempted to squish this into a ticker but failed, so instead I'll just say like it. Stars.

I like Waitrose. They ask "Would you like help carrying the shopping to your car?"
"Yes please."
"Where is your car?"
"Outside my house."Posted 1 year ago #
