Jesus Christ shocked fellow passengers yesterday after he was spotted travelling to work on the London Underground before alighting at Westminster station and heading to the Abbey.
One surprised traveller, Richard Dawkins, who took a picture of himself with Jesus on his mobile phone, said that he hadn't recognised the Lord's Son until his wife pointed him out. ‘At first I thought she was joking, but she insisted it was he. I got up and said: “Excuse me, are you the Messiah?” to which he replied “Yes my child”’.
A spokesman for Jesus Christ said using the underground was ‘the quickest route to publicity.’
This month has seen a spate of celebrities including pop superstar Rihanna and Prime Minister, David Cameron, using the tube, prompting LU to consider banning famous personalities from journeying on the system in an attempt to curb disruption to ordinary travellers.
Jesus Christ says that this would amount to a ‘crucifixion’ adding that if such a ban comes into force, he will take LU to the European Court of Human Rights for impinging on his right to travel freely and ongoing efforts to reduce his carbon footprint.
