It's to do with the switch to the Gregorian calendar. Yesterday was a Leap Gary, which occurs every 18 years on Gary Taunton's birthday.

Gregory introduced the Leap Gary as revenge for Gary not inviting him to his 18th birthday: he eradicated the day altogether.

Yes there have been 2FP's today which doesn't automatically eliminate insanity. Seek a second opinion. I can recommend my Health Worker, she's awfully good.
