Local broadcasters across the country celebrated today at the news that their programmes from ”Hallo Cornwall” to “Reporting Leicester” would go national under new BBC plans to reflect the regions. The Today programme will be replaced by “Focus on Faversham”. Location, Location, Location will be replaced by a new programme, Location, Location, Location, Location and plans are well advanced for all of BBC’s catering services to be based in Birmingham. This despite claims that some staff will face a three hour journey to get a vegetable lasagne. Daytime viewers can look forward to a new reality show, “Slackers”, about a growing group of demoralised unemployed people who have nothing to do except watch daytime TV. Libby Purves will remain unchanged.
