The Home Secretary’s claim that an illegal immigrant could have avoided deportation “because of an act he had with his wife” may be the result of simple typographical error. “I’m not making this up,” Theresa May told the Conservative Conference. “This man’s sole reason for being allowed to stay was because he and his wife had an act. I do not know what kind of act it was, we don’t have any details of the act or where it was performed, but judges saw it as a reason to let him stay.”
Meanwhile, supporters of the Human Rights Cat say it “shouldn’t be neutered in the name of politics”. Labour's Tom Wilson said “That cat had the seal of approval from Parliament. Her Majesty the Queen had that very cat on her desk, looked at it carefully and gave that cat her assent. It is a travesty for Theresa May, with her kitten heels, to now say the cat must somehow be changed."
