Congratulations to Bonjonelson whose story 'Homeopathic leak threatens catastrophe' was the run-away winner for September, infecting huge swathes of the internet and spreading undiluted comedy around the world. He wins a NewsBiscuit mug from which to sip his essence of echinicea remedy.
Runner up was Qoxiivi with 'Scientists baffled as First Capital Connect train arrives before it should' which was only a NIB and clearly deserved to be a front page. It also goes to show that those science-based stories are great contenders for internet referrals or re-tweeting or printing out and attaching to the legs of carrier pigeons.
There was also a very respectful showing for the NB classic 'RyanAir to charge for Emotional Baggage' although since it was featured in 'One from the Archives' it wouldn't have counted. As it happens the writers mentioned above also had the most front pages along with waylandsmithy and the suspicious sounding 'NewsBiscuit', Many thanks to all those submitted material and shared their senses of humour with strangers on-line as NewsBiscuit quietly passed its fifth birthday, but didn't want any fuss.
