Following the successful appeal of Amanda Knox and the other guy, Italian Courts have offered ITV1's bear bater Jeremy Kyle a lucrative deal to be the head of their prosecution service.
Speaking from The Supreme Court of Cassation, Court official Marcello Di Marto revealed that Italian MP's and Prosecutors had been putting the plans together during Amanda Knox's appeal. He said:
"We were alerted to The Jeremy Kyle show in the UK approximately 18 months ago and we were sent tapes of the show. We were impressed with the way he gets to the bottom of cases in the space of 10 minutes and reveals the truth with the help of his innovative "lie detector", we have spoken to Mr. Kyle's representatives and we have sorted out a deal."
Jeremy Kyle (46), has hosted the chat show for 3 years and has an ever-growing fan-base which includes students, unemployed and the smelly. Mr. Kyle was unavailable for comment last night but a spokesperson for ITV said:
"We can confirm that Jeremy Kyle will be joining the Italian Justice System in an exclusive deal. Following discussions he will be taking his award winning show format to the court rooms of Italy along with his after-care team and his "expert-genius" Graeme Stanier."
