Surgeons who were anxious to begin a new round of treatment on Steve Jobs have been delayed as equipment has automatically embarked on a lengthy software update.

"Oh well, fair enough, updating software does take precedence above everything else," he whispered. "Go ahead, save yourself," he told the machine.

Yep - I'm with Wayland this one has legs and lovely last line. If I knew anything about computerstuff I'd be tempted to try to assist but even typing this I'm at the very outer limits of competence.
