US intelligence claims a raid by US Navy Seals in the early hours of the morning has found and destroyed the Higgs Boson. The particle is said to have been inches away from the particle detectors in an aromatic compound in a neighbouring chemical laboratory. The Boson could have been there for months, raising questions of the methods employed by the scientists working at CERN.
No evidence has yet been produced of the raid due to the shoot first, answer scientific questions later policy used by the US forces. However, home videos of the Boson have been found in which it appears to tease physicists by making sporadic appearances at different energy and probability levels.
Physicists have defended the find saying, "If the Higgs Boson really was hiding in that aromatic compound then it could not easily have benzene."
